The Brecon Canal is situated in the Brecon Beacon National Park and it covers a distance of thirty three miles from the Brecon Canal Terminus to the Canal Terminus Sebastopol. Boating holidays on the Brecon Canal are great for novices and experts alike. It has a stretch of around twenty two miles which is totally lock free and is very easy to navigate. All in all there are only six locks, five lift bridges and a spectacular four arched aqueduct over the River Usk to negotiate. This may seem daunting to the beginner but after a brief period of instruction you will find the boats easy to handle and the locks are not a problem.
